“The Secret Ingredient Is Always Love”

Nikki’s Family Kitchen was established in 1988. I’m using this year because I vividly remember being 14 and baking my first round of Thanksgiving pies, (Apple Crumb, Pumpkin, Double Layer Pumpkin Mousse and Coconut Custard), for a large family gathering. A store made pie hasn’t been brought into a family gathering since.

Food and family has always been my passion and my biggest group of supporters are my family. They are always in my kitchen and without them this business doesn’t exist. From taste testing, to running errands and purchasing supplies, and soliciting. Some are even my employees. Did I mention taste testing?

I am also known for being resourceful. I suppose this comes from being a single mom of 3 boys. I am able to take a little and turn it into a lot, stretching a dollar so to speak. I really enjoy using seasonal products and sale items in my meals. I have a ton of “resourceful” recipes and firmly believe not all things need to be high end to be delicious. As long as people taste the love the meal will be a success.
